The watauga has been fishing well river wide over the last few weeks. The upper river has been producing goods numbers of mostly smaller fish with a few nice fish mixed in. Midday has been the best bite when the baetis start to hatch. The trophy section has been a little slower but is producing better quality fish. Nymphing is the name of the game as usual this time of year, but there's always a chance to get a few on top with small mayflies and terrestrials.
